Adar yr Ardd, (Garden Birds), by Suw Charman-Anderson is a short vocabulary builder for intermediate Welsh learners. Featuring interesting facts about twelve garden birds – some more common than others! – it includes annotated illustrations and clear word lists to help you expand your vocabulary. Adar yr Ardd is a great way to learn about our little feathered friends, where they live and what they eat, whilst also developing your Welsh reading skills. Reader reviews “Interesting and beautifully illustrated book. Challenging enough that I felt I'd achieved something, while enjoying reading it. I could guess many of the words that were new to me from the context and illustrations, and look up others in the vocabulary. I would love to read more by this author.” — Sue B “Lovely pictures, surprising and interesting facts, AND I'm improving my Cymraeg at the same time? Yes, please. I'm hoping that this volume is just the first in a series.” — Anonymous Ebook Notes This book has illustrations, bold text and vocabulary tables throughout. Some e-readers may not display these well due to inconsistencies in how the epub format is interpreted. You may wish to adjust your settings to “Original”, or any other setting which uses the original design, and to then experiment with font size and reading orientation, ie portrait rather than landscape, to find the best display options for your device. If reading on a computer, try making the ereader window larger to accommodate the images. Llyfrau Bach ar gyfer Dysgwyr This book is the first in an upcoming series that focuses on helping intermediate learners to expand their knowledge of the Welsh language. About the Author Suw Charman-Anderson is a Welsh learner and writer with a passion for the Welsh language. She started learning Welsh in the late 90s, launching the Clwb Malu Cachu website for learners not long after. She has spent a lot of time not learning anything at all, when life got in the way, but recommitted to the language on 20 December 2020 and now does something in Welsh every single day. She lives in Reading with her husband and two cats who ignore her in both English and Welsh.
